I can not be unfaithful to the body, so I take what has become its speech and throw it up in the air, as one does confetti.
Weaving lyric, collage, lyric essay and sound, PERFEKT TRANS~ makes home for Suni—boi, girlboi and nothing—gathering lived experiences with existential dysphoria, the afterlife of traumas, embodiment and gender divinity.
As a trans~narrative written by reversal from a beyond rooted in liberation, PERFEKT TRANS~ is a deconstructed book resisting usual demands of linear transitions and a stuffy visibility. Within its playful, conceptual and durational propositions, new, errant, vital systems of relation with the text/narrative device unravel.
Ọlákìítán Adéolá continues explorations with the lyric and fragmentary as form, a reclaiming of language, poetics, and eros nearer to the wild heart of this trans~ experience.
