Sanguine is inspired by sapphic soft erotica within vampire fandom and fiction. It focuses on critical representation of queer feminine sexuality and reclaims these depictions which have, in the past, been overwhelming created by and for heterosexual men. The 20 page zine was drawn in loose response to the many adaptations of Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu’s Gothic Novella, “Carmilla”.
